Byron is deepening its commitment to the local community in York with the launch of the Jorvik Burger, a Viking-inspired creation that showcases the best of Yorkshire’s independent food producers. The Jorvik Burger, available exclusively at Byron York, is curated with locally sourced ingredients and is part of our ongoing mission to support and collaborate with local businesses.
The Jorvik Burger is a true celebration of York’s culinary heritage. Alongside our signature beef patty from prestigious British butcher Alden’s, local beer onions and cheese are celebrated, combined with lettuce and a mustard mayonnaise to create a delicious burger.
Brew York, famous local brewery and taproom has supplied ‘Coney’ their Session IPA to create caramelised beer onions. Whilst Shambles local, The Cheese Trader has provided high-quality regional cheese from West Yorkshire’s award-winning cheesemonger, Cryer & Stott. The Yorkshire Red Cheddar is given its bright colour after being infused with Henderson’s Relish, and gives the burger a creamy and rich finish.
We encourages customers to ‘Make it Viking’ by loading up the burger with bacon and pulled beef to create a meaty feast, which of course they recommend washing down with a Brew York IPA, newly available at Byron York.
